It's Tam Jiak Cat with all its favourite local Singaporean food! Tam Jiak is a Hokkien term meaning 'greedy', also a phrase used to describe a foodie.
Chicken Rice - there are many famous chicken rice stalls in Singapore, and everyone has their own favourites. Chicken rice comes in either steamed white chicken or roasted brown chicken. I like the steamed white chicken so I drew that instead. Coupled with a good chillli sauce and some ginger sauce, it's a yummy dish that's always good to eat.
Chilli Crab - You can't come to Singapore without having had someone ask you if you've already eaten chilli crab. The sauce is tomatey and a little spicy, it's good with a mantou to soak up its yummy sauce.
Roti Prata - Roti means bread and prata means flat in Malay. It is a crispy on the outside and quite dense and fluffy on the inside doughy kind of Indian flatbread. Good to eat all times of the day - you can have it sweet or savoury, either eating it with sugar or curry.
Nasi Lemak - Is a Malay dish where it consists of coconut rice and the usual sides are a deep fried chicken drumstick/wing, cucumber slices, ikan bilis (deep fried anchovies) and peanuts. The belachan sauce (chilli sauce) is the true star of the dish that bring it all together.
